As a direct result of its SLA approach, the firm has won 20 major business awards over recent years, including Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner of the Year Award and an award for Innovation from The Australian Business Council in 2006. More recently, AXXIS Technology won the Australia-wide Small Business Champions award as the best IT company in the nation. Over the course of nearly 5 years of comprehensive research, Mathew and his team built a complete set of tools to sell, implement and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This toolset, offered on SLAM DVD, was quickly embraced by the corporate sector.
Now renowned as a worldwide authority on SLAs and the transition to a more progressive Managed Services model, Mathew writes a fortnightly column for Computer Reseller News and has a fortnightly segment on ABC Radio. He is also a frequent speaker at Microsoft, Intel and Kaseya events.
In his spare time, Mathew rides his Trek Mountain Bike (recently completing a race across the Simpson Desert), plays golf badly and spends time with his wife and four children. He serves as a Dubbo City Councillor and enjoys his Mensa membership.
